The Scottish government is coming under fire for its hate Crime Laws. Police Scotland says they 'can't cope' as hate crime complaints set to outnumber the total for all other offences with 8,000 in the first week. Scottish lawyers consider the hate speech bill: “An astonishing attack on freedom of expression.” JK Rowling said, "Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal,"

Amongst all the furore, the Former health secretary Jeane Freeman said SNP ministers have been "caught by surprise". Her reaction to the Hate crime law was one of "frustration at the level of misinformation".

However, if you delve into the Scottish MP's decision-making during the pandemic, you find their decisions were at odds with common sense, couldn't interpret the unintended consequences and were overly presumptuous that its interventions would do more harm than good.
