Thank you for your comments. We kept that in mind when we wrote the questions. If you look at the original list we refer to a vaccine/platform. If it a platform that could fit the H5 title of the announcement. As the hemaggluttinin is fixed - 5 - and the neuraminidase changes N1, N7 and so on.
We have just finished writing the first post of the trilogy out next Monday pm and we move to looking carefully at the contract. We should get a better idea of what they bought with our cash.
Well, as Brian Finney points out, it may not yet exist. If it does, all the regulatory info. asked for above, should already be on file and if so, could be supplied with attachments, or links. It bothers me that they need, or can take 20 working days to reply to bog standard information in their line of work.
Is there a possibility that this specific vaccine doesn't exist as yet? And what has been purchased is an option to buy it once its been given Emergency Use Authorisation; much like the Vaccine Task Force did with Covid vaccines. I seem to remember that even the name wasn't disclosed. If so, they will be unable to answer the questions.
Ah but an option to buy what? Somone must have done the necessary checks to see that the optioned vaccine is suitable (and hopefully safe). To do that then the information is in somebody's sticky little fingers!
An interesting thing happened to me on my way through my emails today. There was a reminder to complete an Ipsos survey. Something I do regularly. So I clicked on the link.
The wording that follows is not literal but my paraphrase. "This survey concerns the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and should take about 15 minutes. All data is treated anonymously. You do not have to answer every question."
Next page. "What is your postcode? (This is personal information - the note said. Only answer voluntarily if you are happy to do so. All information is stored and used anonymously." I answered truthfully.
Next page. "Are you a man, woman, .... ?" I answered thruthfully.
Next page. "What is your year and month of birth?" I answered truthfully.
Next page. "Thank you for completing the survey. Please click the submit button."

Best, Tom.
